Excess skin can tether the penis to the abdomen or scrotum and prevent it from hanging as freely as it otherwise could.
A dorsal phalloplasty releases tethering along the upper aspect of the penis toward the abdomen. A ventral phalloplasty releases tethering along the underside toward the scrotum. When appropriate, we may also release the fundiform ligament during dorsal phalloplasty to provide additional visible hang length.
These procedures do not increase the internal length of the penis but can increase the amount of penis that is externally visible, particularly when flaccid.
Schedule a consultation to discuss your goals and whether dorsal or ventral phalloplasty may be appropriate for you.
Over time, scrotal skin can lose elasticity, resulting in a lower or uneven appearance. A large or low-hanging scrotum can also make the penis appear less prominent.
Scrotoplasty can reduce excess scrotal skin, improve symmetry, and create a tighter and more proportional appearance.
Schedule a consultation to discuss your goals for scrotoplasty.
